History of Office
Historically the Ward County Superintendent of Schools' Office was the administrative office for the many one room school houses scattered across the county. As the county grew individual school districts formed and school boards became the governing board of the school district. As a result the office duties changed to coordinating and facilitating information that effects all schools in the county.
