July 3, 2007 Board of Equalization Meeting Minutes

The meeting of the Ward County Board of Equalization was called to order by Chairman Watne at 9:58 a.m. with Comms. Fjeldahl, Gruenberg, Erickson and Lee present. Also present was Auditor/Treasurer Devra Smestad; Director of Tax Equalization Don Siebert; and Minot City Assessor Kevin Ternes.

 

Moved by Comm. Erickson, seconded by Comm. Gruenberg to approve the following corrections of errors of assessments from the June 5, 2007 Board of Equalization meeting: 1) Dale Schlag, KK 19.5U0.200.0000, set 108.51 acres as agricultural land with a value of $18,600 and 7 acres as commercial land with a value of $1,400 for a total of $20,000; 2) Warren MacGillivray, FO 02.009.900.0160, reduce the residential structure from $4,800 to $1,000; and 3) Gravel Products, KK 33.009.900.0010, change the commercial value of $14,800 to agricultural value of $6,400. Roll call: all voted yes; motion carried.

 

Ternes then briefly appeared for comment.

 

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned sine die at 10:05 a.m.
