July 22, 2008 Special meeting minutes

A special meeting of the Ward County Commissioners to discuss the results of interviews for the Tax Director position was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman C. Erickson with Comms. Fjeldahl, Gruenberg and Lee attending. Comm. Watne was absent. Also present were Tax Director Don Siebert and Auditor/Treasurer Devra Smestad.

 

Comm. Lee moved to offer the position of Tax Director to Mike Vendsel, contingent upon a satisfactory background check, to begin August 1, 2008 at $37,814 per year.  Comm. Gruenberg seconded and motion carried with all present voting yes.

 

The meeting was recessed while Smestad made a call to Mr. Vendsel to offer him the position. The meeting was call back to order at which time Smestad reported Mr. Vendsel will accept the offer.

 

Comm. Lee moved to adjourn, Comm. Fjeldahl seconded and the meeting was adjourned at 9:45.
