Minutes of the Board of Ward County Commissioners

April 21, 2011

 

The special meeting of the Ward County Commission was called to order by Chairman Gruenberg at 9:00 a.m. with Comms. Fjeldahl, Christianson, Erickson, Nybakken and Park Board members Chairman Ken Kitzman and James Muzzy present to discuss building space needs.  Also present was Architect Don Davison, Deputy States Attorney Robert Slorby, Park Manager Steve Fuegmann and Auditor/Treasurer Devra Smestad.

 

Chairman Gruenberg recessed the special meeting of the Commission at 9:01 p.m. for the purpose of a special Park Board meeting.

 

Chairman Gruenberg reconvened the Special Commission meeting at 9:15 a.m.

 

Comm. Gruenberg welcomed the Citizen Committee.  Members of the Citizens Committee present: Danny Deaver, John MacMartin, Greg Hager, David Kopp, Molla Romine, Al Hanson, and Chuck Leet. Comm. Christianson updated the Committee on the neighborhood land/building acquisition. All present were invited to join in a tour of the Courthouse following adjournment.

 

Architect Don Davison updated the Commission and Committee on the MDU substation building.  He stated the proposal was on the high end for an estimate and that he will discuss with them an alternative location(s) for the substation building.

 

The Commissioners discussed the next meeting dates. They determined Don needed additional time so they will look at sometime in June for their next meeting.

 

At 9:42 a.m., with no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
