Minutes of the Board of Ward County Commissioners

Special Meeting

August 22, 2011

 

      The special meeting of the Ward County Commission was called to order by Chairman Gruenberg at 12:01 p.m. with Comms. Fjeldahl, Erickson, and Nybakken present.  Also present was Sheriff Steve Kukowski, Captain Bob Barnard, and Auditor/Treasurer Devra Smestad.

 

      Sheriff Steve Kukowski appeared. At the August 16, 2011 Commission meeting, M&S Concessions received approval for two Special Event Permits.  The motion stated as follows: “Moved by Comm. Christianson, seconded by Comm. Nybakken to approve the special event permits for M&S Concessions for the Black Eyes Peas Concert on September 3rd with the Grandstand permit running from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and the Party in the Plaza permit running from 12:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.” Additional information was provided to Kukowski by M&S Concession stating the reason for the initial application request for the time to end the event at 12:45 a.m. was to have a special VIP meet and greet with the band.

 

      Moved by Comm. Nybakken, seconded by Comm. Erickson to approve the special event permits for M&S Concessions for the Black Eyes Peas Concert on September 3rd with the Grandstand permit running from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and the  Party in the Plaza permit running noon to 12:45 a.m. on September 4, 2011. Roll call: all voted yes; motion carried.

 

      At 12:06 p.m. the meeting is adjourned.
