Minutes of the Board of Ward County Commissioners

May 2, 2012

 

      The special joint meeting of the Ward County Commission and the Ward County Social Services Board was called to order by Chairman Fjeldahl at 3:18 a.m. with Comms. Erickson and Nybakken present and Comm. Christianson attending via phone.  Also present were States Attorney Roza Larson, The Village Business Institute OD Consultant John E. Trombley, and Auditor/Treasurer Devra Smestad.

 

       State’s Attorney Roza Larson presented information about the Village Business Institute. OD Consultant John Trombley would begin his 2 -3 day investigation of Social Services for an estimated cost of $6,000. The initial bill is to be paid from the Commissioner Contingency Fund and later reimbursed from Social Services.

 

      Moved by Comm. Nybakken, seconded by Comm. Erickson to accept the proposal (contract) for investigative services from The Village Business Institute. Roll call: all voted yes; motion carried.

 

      Comm. Christianson asked that the mailing address for Ward County on page 2 of the contract be corrected.

 

      At 3:21 a.m. the meeting was adjourned.
