Plan AheadSo many tragedies could have been prevented if only people would have planned ahead. You may not be able to control an emergency from happening, but you CAN often control the impact it has on you and your loved ones. Please, take the time to develop and and practice an emergency plan now BEFORE tragedy strikes...rather than wishing you had when it's too late. Are You Ready? Are you and your family ready to take care of yourselves for a minimum of 3 days without any outside assistance, with no TV, phones, or radio, without being able to drive anywhere or go to a store to get supplies? Have you thought about the possible disasters that could come to your community and what you can do to be prepared for them? Things to Consider
Once you have all of these things taken care of...what about pets and livestock? Watch a short, thought provoking evacuation video and visit the links below for information to help you develop your plan.
