Understanding the NWS Probabilistic Flood Outlooks

The Des Lacs River at Foxholm gauge was used to forecast flood inundated areas from Foxholm to Burlington along the Des Lacs River.  Map stages range from 17ft (10 year event) to 21ft (500 year event), and are based on 1 ft increment increases.  The areas along the Des Lacs are broken up into 4 map areas shown below.
