School Elections

In accordance with NDSCC law 15.1-09-22 the board of a school district shall hold an election between April 1^st and June 30^th to fill all vacancies.

The purpose of the election shall be to:

Elect members to fill all vacancies therein caused by the expiration of terms of offices or otherwise
Determine in accordancs with NDSCC the question of whether a record of the proceedings of the school board shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in such district for the next two years
Determine other special question properly advertised as a special election (responsiblility of local district) to be held in conjuction with the annual election.

In accordance with NDSCC 15.1-09-08 the Canidates Filing Statement must be filed with the business manger or in possession of the business manger by 4 pm of the sixtieth day before the election. The following form is a sample of what your school district may ask you to complete. It is not official.

In accordance with NDSCC law 15.1-07 absentee ballots must be available in any School District election. The following form is a sample of what your school district may ask you to complete.
