Planning Commission Meeting September 9, 2010 in the Ex-Servicemen's Room, at the Ward County Courthouse

 

Agenda

1.     Call to order, roll call and determination of quorum.

2.     Review and approve the minutes of the last meeting held August 12, 2010.

3.     Public hearing on the application for a special use permit by Clyde Monlezun and Ken Judice.  The request is to construct a temporary housing area in Section 30 of Kirkelie Township.

4.     Public hearing on the application for a special use permit by Don and Marcia Jessen.  The request is to construct a 10 unit campground on Lot 24 of Pointe of View Subdivision.  this lot is very near where he runs a business known as Jessen Roofing in Burlington Township.

5.     Application for plat approval by Norman Sollid, surveyor, on behalf of William and Darrel Johnson, Shelly Norton and Virginia Ripplinger for the following described property:

Outlot 10 of NWNE, Section 9-154-82, Sundre Township  

This is a 3.75 acre plat with the access coming from the north via Manor Road.  The plat meets the requirements of Zoning Resolution No. 6.  The outlot is being created to allow for the sale of an existing residence located on the outlot.  The Township Board and the Water Resource Board have not responded.

6.     Application for plat approval by Norman Sollid, surveyor, on behalf of Clarence Hulberg for the following described property:

Outlot 5 of S2SW Section 2-153-83, Freedom Township

This is a 5.81 acre plat located along Ward County Road 16.  The plat meets the requirements of Zoning Resolution No. 6.  Mr. Hulberg intends to sell the outlot.  If the prospective buyer wants to construct a home, he will need to apply for a zone change.  The Township Board and the Water Resource Board have not responded.

7.     Application for plat approval by Herbert and Sharon Schwarz for the following described property:

Outlot 19 of SENE and NESE Section 5-152-81, Sawyer Township

This plat contains 10.00 acres and has access to U. S. Highway 52 by a driveway leading to the property.  It meets the requirements of Zoning Resolution No. 2.  The daughter of the Schwarz's is building a home at this location and the outlot is being created for financing purposes.  The Township Board and the Water Resource Board have not responded.

8.     Application for plat approval by Jerome Walsh for the following described property:

Outlot 5 of NE of Section 30-156-82, McKinley Township

This is a 7.50 acre plat located along an improved township road.  The plat meets the requirements of Zoning Resolution No. 6.  the individual who owns Outlot 4 next to this proposed site plans to buy the outlot so he will have a total of 10 acres when the process is complete.   The Township Board and the Water Resource Board have not responded. 

9.     Application for preliminary plat approval by Chad Thompson, on behalf of Myron Thompson, for the following described property:

Country Club Acres 2nd Addition to the City of Minot being Lots 9,10 & 17 Country Club Acres

At this time, the Thompson's have two possible scenarios with this property.  One proposal has four lots and one has five lots.  The only difference is if the people on Lot 1 of the five lot proposal buy the eastern 25' of Lots 2 & 3.  The Thompson's plan to construct homes on the lots upon final approval of the subdivision.  The Township Board and the Water Resource Board have not responded.
