Ward County Administration Building reopens to the public.

Effective June 11, 2020.
Various measures recommended by the CDC and Department of Health were put into place to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors.

Ward County continues to promote alternate communications. If you have business to conduct with Ward County, contact the Department directly. Alternate communications for business may be directly over the phone, email, website, conference call, drop box, mail, or video calls.

Commission meetings will continue to be live-streamed to the public and virtual participation is encouraged.

Ward County Human Services’ lobbies on 3rd and 4th floors will be accessible to clients, but face-to-face visits with staff continue to be by appointment only.   In order to minimize the spread of COVID-19, we encourage interested parties to do as much business as possible on-line, by phone, email or regular mail.

• Those interested in applying for assistance such as SNAP, Medical Assistance, Child Care Assistance and TANF are strongly encouraged to apply on-line at www.nd.gov/dhs/eligibility.   As of June 11th, paper applications can be picked up in the first floor atrium area of the Administration Building, so as to minimize traffic to other floors or unnecessary crowding of people in the elevators.
Completed applications and any verification's needed to determine eligibility should be put into an envelope and placed in the drop box marked ‘Social Services’, which is emptied at least twice daily.  Interviews required for Economic Assistance purposes will continue to be conducted by phone until further notice.

 • Face to face visitations between foster children and their parents will resume in the coming weeks as scheduled by case managers.  Protocols will be in place to minimize the risk to children, parents and workers as much as possible.

We encourage the public to follow the ND Smart Restart guidelines.
If you have a cough or fever, you should not enter the facilities.  Practice social distancing
Practice good hygiene techniques
Limit unnecessary contact.
