Veterans' Services

The Ward County Veteran's Service Office assists veterans and their dependents with accessing benefits available from the Federal Department of Veterans Affairs, the North Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, and other agencies as applicable. Our primary goal is to make sure that every eligible veteran or dependent has access to the benefits to which they are entitled.

Mission Statement
The Ward County Veterans Service office assists veterans, widows of veterans, children or eligible dependents in making claims for benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs. These benefits include, but not limited to, applications for service-connected compensation, non-service connected disability pension, medical care, education, home loan guarantees, and burial benefits. This office also advises veterans and refers them to the appropriate professional sources.
