   The 2014 Memorial Day Service in Donnybrook, ND began with a prelude by Alexis Huff followed by the Presentation of Colors by the Honor Guard. Guest singer, Rachel Birdsall of Berthold sang the Star Spangled Banner.
   The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by the audience led by Post Commander Danny Michel.
Invocation by Chaplain Russell Bott. Barb Johnson presented the Poppy Poster Awards and Marilyn Bott read the poem, "I Am A Veteran." Both are American Legion Auxiliary members. Lighting of the Unity Candle was done by Auxiliary youth.
   Barb Johnson played a musical selection of Armed Forces melodies and the audience participated by standing up when the song of their service family members was played.
   Reading of the Scroll was done by Russell Bott and another musical selection by played by Sydney Johnson and Justin Johnson.
   Shane Goettle, a former resident of Donnybrook, was the guest speaker. Click here to read his address.
   God Bless America was sung by Miss Birdsall, benediction by Mr. Bott and Retirement of the Colors by the Honor Guard completed the program.
   Graveside service was conducted. Taps played live by Christopher Michel and Kali Schock. Dinner was served by the Auxiliary at the Community Center.
