Flood Information
Floods usually strike without warning. They have occurred numerous times within Ward County and across the State of North Dakota. With the construction of more roads, shopping malls, homes, and businesses, the chance of flooding increases. Thousands of buildings have been damaged over the last several years. People have lost their homes and belongings, and some never saw it coming. Truth is, you can live miles away from water and still be a victim of flooding. It doesn't take much to damage your property. Just a few inches of water from a flood can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Below are informational brochures on how to become more prepared for flooding which can also be found at the Ward County Courthouse, and Ward County Administration Building.
